What Lanten is
Lanten is an Outlook add-in for lettings and property-management teams. It reads the email a user has open, matches the sender against the agency’s Street CRM account, and prepares draft replies and CRM actions — every send and every CRM write requires explicit user approval. It’s built by LANTEN LTD, a UK company; all data is hosted and processed in the UK.Permissions requested
Lanten requests the following Microsoft Graph delegated permissions at user consent:- View users’ basic profile
- Maintain access to data you have given it access to
- Read and write access to user mail
- Send mail as a user (used only to send messages the user has explicitly approved)
- Read and write user mailbox settings (used to create the Outlook categories behind Lanten’s tagging feature)
Deploying centrally
To roll Lanten out without each user installing it themselves:- Microsoft 365 admin center → Settings → Integrated apps → Get apps
- Search for Lanten, then choose the users or groups to deploy to
- Deployment typically reaches mailboxes within a few hours; users then see Lanten under Apps on any open email
