This page is the plain-English reference for what Lanten can and can’t do with your data — useful if you’re the sceptical one, or if you need to convince them.

The approval-only model

Lanten drafts; you decide. Every action — a reply, a work order, a task, a note — is prepared and shown to you first. You approve and send, or edit and send, or ignore it. Nothing is emailed and nothing is written into Street without you.

What Lanten reads

  • Your email — the thread you have open, to show context, summaries and suggested actions. See Connecting Outlook for the exact Microsoft permissions and what each one is for.
  • Your Street records — contacts, properties, tenancies and maintenance, to match senders and pre-fill actions. The connection uses a Street API key your agency creates; see Connecting Street.

What Lanten writes

Only things you approve:
  • Replies you send from the panel
  • Notes, tasks and work orders you create in Street
  • Tags, applied to emails as Outlook categories

Where your data lives

Everything is hosted and processed in the UK. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Lanten is SOC 2 Type II certified and GDPR compliant. For the full detail, read the privacy policy.

Scope of each connection
